3 habits of successful entrepreneurs

What does it take to become a successful entrepreneur? It certainly takes a great deal of skill to create your own path, build your enterprise, and balance your wellbeing at the same time.

To celebrate #WorldEntrepreneurDay, we've compiled the habits that all the successful entrepreneurs we know do and practice. We hope these will inspire you, and bring you a brighter, balanced future too.

1. Get Into Routine

Business has no routine. With meetings, phone calls, and new opportunities springing up all over the place, it's important to ground yourself and set out your own routine. And that doesn't have to be the usual 9am - 5pm either. In fact, only 6% of the UK workforce keep to those hours now!

Give yourself a daily routine, and a weekly routine, that works for you. Tailor it to what works, and remove what doesn't.

And more important of all: communicate your routine. Put it in your email signature, let clients know when you're out of hours, and regain some control.

2. Network and Stay Topical

Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in your industry is even more important when you go solo. Knowledge - and who you know - is crucial, so make sure you get to relevant events in your area.

Calmer's events are a great place to start, connecting fellow entrepreneurs, freelancers, and business owners together in a non-judgemental space with implementable takeaways too.

3. Stave Off Burnout

A happy mind makes for a happy business. It's one of the core values we believe at Calmer, and it's also a key component in any successful entrepreneur's repertoire.

We know being a successful entrepreneur requires a lot of hard work. It's why we set up the Reignite Project, to join a community of entrepreneurs together across the world and prevent burnout.

Find out how to notice the signs of your own burnout, and support others in doing the same, by joining our Reignite Ambassador Programme.
