Join the team at Calmer in a special workshop dedicated to understanding the true power of human social connection.
Even before the physical restrictions put in place due to pandemic, loneliness has been on the rise in modern societies, with the UK government creating the world’s first Minister for Loneliness to tackle the issue back in 2018. As we spend more and more time consuming content in virtual environments in isolation, it’s easy to forget that we humans are not made to live – let alone thrive – alone.
In this special online workshop hosted by Calmer, you will be given a supported space to engage with others in a meaningful way through prompted questions and interactive activities, as well as share in a collective experience of accessible movement and mindful meditation.
Studies have shown that people who feel more connected to others have lower levels of anxiety and depression, elevated self-esteem, greater empathy for others, and are more trusting and cooperative towards others.
After being in community with the other session participants, you will leave inspired to dedicate more time and energy towards maintaining your social connections beyond the workshop circle, elevating not only your wellbeing but the wellbeing of all those you interact with.
